Meena Korvai

Korvai technique is special to Kanchivaram woven by interlocking the contrasting borders to with body and pallu. It is time staking, elaborate skill require two weavers and three shuttles.

Our Meena sarees have flying kili (parrot) butas as over the body inspired by the parrots we found in abundance in Kanchi Kamakshi temple and the korvai border is drawn from the archival design and intrepreted to give the contemporary flair.
